The First Sunday Evening Event on Sunday 2nd July, commemorated the 75th Anniversary of the
arrival of SS Empire Windrush in the U.K and we thank all who came to support this event.
The next Event will be on Sunday 6th August at Christchurch Lanner, when the guest speaker
will be Roxie Pollard from the Alzheimer’s Society, who is preparing to undertake a 26-mile
trek on its behalf in September. Everyone will be most welcome to join us.
It was wonderful to see Ann and Bob Moir on 9th July, when we had an enjoyable lunch to
catch up on all their news since they emigrated to Australia in 2004. Their beautiful wedding
was blessed at St. Andrew’s Pencoys in 1996, and they now live in the picturesque suburb of
Mornington Pensinsula, south of Melbourne, Victoria, enjoying life in a lovely retirement
village with spectacular sea views, and enjoying all the facilities the village has to offer. We
wish them a safe return home, and pray for the life their church, All Saints.
